As someone with trans & nonbinary people in my life (along with a number of good old-fashioned tomboys!), I was a bit jarred by having to select "male" or "female" right out of the gate in the onboarding sequence.

After pausing a moment to consider why you'd need that information, I could see that given clothing is often gendered, it makes sense. But you could be a lot more inclusive by having different options.

Some alternatives:
* "Male | Female | More options" (which would expand to explain why you're asking and give a gender-neutral option)
* "What type of clothes do you typically wear? Men's | Women's | Gender Neutral"

You could also change some of the packing item names to make them gender neutral, e.g. "fragrance" instead of perfume/cologne, "birth control" rather than "birth control pills," "top" instead of "blouse."

I imagine this would be a relatively low lift, but could go a long way in making the app work for everyone. Thanks for listening!
