Categorize essentials
It would be great if we can have subcategory under the Essentials. We can categorize the items by clothing, toiletries, electronics, misc. so that we can better organize the list.

We have split toiletries out of essentials, which has cleaned it up a good bit.

+1 here. I'd love to see user-definable categories as some users might have more task or business-specific needs for their trip and this would help to organize those. Perhaps this could be an in-app purchase. The app could come with stock categories and then users could unlock the ability to define their own. This could be a great way to support development and increase user flexibility.
