Invert data structures.
Rather than each activity being a container, have a master list of items and allow each item to have a list of activity tags. This would eliminate duplication. For example, Sunglasses could have tags for Beach, Hiking, etc. Your current design requires me to add Sunglasses (and many other things) to many activities.

Is there any hope of revisiting this idea? It could also allow you to track where items are stored in your home, what room/closet or storage box.
That would make packing and unpacking/putting things away easier as well.

I agree. One reason why I am transitioning to PackPoint is that my current (20 page!) packing list is too big to handle due to all the redundancies necessitated by having to add an item to more than one sub-list.

Hi Scott, thanks for the idea! This would be a major shift, but I do like where you're going with it. Will have to keep it in mind and see what can be done over the long term.
